Flashback is recollecting of the past or memories of the past.
Example:
1. On certain ones I had not seen,
for years past did I call

The narrator is recalling about friends and their past life.
2. I went to the Garden of Love.........
.....where I used to play on the green
(The Garden of Love)
The poet recalls his past, the beautiful garden where he used to play earlier.
